Greene County Extension recently announced its new regional director.
Rich Wrage has worked with ISU Extension for 26 years, previously serving Boone, Hardin, Marshall and Story counties. Wrage began his career as an agricultural teacher at Carroll Kuemper Catholic High School and then transitioned to ISU Extension. He was the Boone County Extension Director from 1994-2009 and has been a regional director ever since.
Wrage says his main goal is to help provide programming to the Extension offices he serves.
“The way I do that is kind of in the background more with the (Extension) Council (by) making sure that they know what their opportunities are and do some needs assessment, look at the governance about how we do that, look at the policies we develop to go through all of that, doing some supervision of the staff now – that’s new – and also just working with partners in our area to make things happen.”
Wrage began serving Boone, Greene, Carroll, and Guthrie counties on July 1st. Wrage’s main office is based with the Boone County Extension Office.
