The Raccoon River Conference is home to some of the most competitive softball in the state of Iowa. There will be two teams representing the conference next week in Fort Dodge with the top seed in the state in the Carlisle Wildcats and the Winterset Huskies. Carlisle was able to cruise to victory over Harlan on Tuesday night while Winterset was able to upset Norwalk to move on.
ADM softball unfortunately saw their season come to a close against Norwalk last Saturday, after a successful regular season that saw them ranked constantly in the top 5. ADM lost to Carlisle earlier in the season 2-1 in a very entertaining game in Adel, while the Tigers were able to defeat Winterset by the score of 7-4.
ADM was able to finish second in the hyper competitive RCC on the year, and was competitive night in and night out.
Winterset and Carlisle will be competing next week in Fort Dodge, as both look to represent the conference well. One thing we do know, is that these teams will be battle tested after a tough conference slate.
