Former GC Schools AD Todd Gordon
Now that Greene County has completed the COVID-19 shortened high school baseball and softball seasons, we look back with Activities Director Todd Gordon about what he observed and how people adjusted to the changes driven by the Pandemic.
“I was really pleased with how things went. Given the circumstances, I especially want to thank our coaches and our players for making those adjustments to new policies and procedures; to do the things we had to do to just get on the field day after day. The extra cleaning that went into it. They went above and beyond. It was something they had to do this year, and they did, and I’m very appreciative of how our coaches and our kids handled that.”
Transportation was not provided by the school district for traveling to and from baseball and softball games, and Gordon, added, “Thanks to the parents! The parents got kids to where they needed to be and I know that wasn’t always convenient. We sure thank them for saving us some transportation dollars.”
On the next Sports Page, Mr. Gordon talks about performance on the ball diamonds.
