Class 3A fourth ranked Dallas Center-Grimes won 15-1 by the 10-run rule in 4-1/2 innings at Dallas Center in a District 15 baseball opening round contest. DC-G improves to 15-3 and advances to Monday night’s District 15 final in Dallas Center after scoring seven runs in the first inning and eight more in the third.
Coach Matt Paulsen’s Rams finished the COVID-19 abbreviated season with a 3-12 record. Senior Tyler Teeples was the starting and losing pitcher.He went 2-2/3 innings and allowed seven earned runs. Senior Brent Riley relieved for 1-/13 and gave up four earned runs.
The Rams were out hit 13-3. Stalder added a single to his RBI double, and Teeples singled.
