The Panorama softball season concluded Wednesday night in Van Meter.
The Panthers came into the night with an underdog mentality, trying to avenge an 18-5 defeat to the Bulldogs earlier in the season. After both teams were shut out in the first frame, Van Meter found their bats in the second and scored six runs in the blink of an eye. The Panther defense settled down and shut out the bulldogs in the third before Van Meter reopened the wound and scored another five runs to extend the lead 11-1. The game was ended early due to the 10-run rule.
Panorama ends their season with an 8-9 record which is a step in the right direction as the Panthers finished ten games under .500 last season. Panorama loses two seniors in Sydney Vogel and Lindsey VanGundy.
