Current Perry boys varsity basketball and baseball coach Aaron Lyons turned in his resignation earlier this week and will not return next season to lead the Bluejays in the their respective sports.  Lyons was entering his third year as the head boys basketball coach and is just wrapping up his first summer in the coaching box for Bluejay baseball.  The former East Greene Hawk was presented with a difficult coaching situation inheriting a very young and inexperienced squad in both sports.  Perry competes in the Raccoon River conference and wins were tough to come by over the past two years as a result.  Lyons is expected to continue his coaching career at another school.   Perry Activities Director Scott Pierce told KDLS that the search is underway for Lyon’s replacement in both sports along with assistant coaching duties in football.
