The Perry City Council met Monday morning in special session.
The meeting began with a public hearing. The Council opened the floor for comments regarding a proposed general obligation street improvements loan agreement in the amount of $2.6 million. Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson says this money is going towards a number of city projects, including the overlay of 28th Street, recreation center project, and the downtown improvements project around the Foundry. There were no comments made and the Council approved the loan following the hearing.
The meeting continued with a resolution to rescind a previously approved resolution regarding a purchase agreement for a pair of parcels near Patee Park. The final purchase agreement is for $154,000, and $100,000 of that is covered by grants. The land is being purchased for conservation purposes. The resolution was discussed and approved.
