It’s the last game of both the COVID-19 abbreviated high school baseball season and also the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference season tonight. The Rams of Greene County are on the road tonight in Nevada to face the Cubs. First year head coach Matt Paulsen’s Rams are 2-11 with victories over South Hamilton (Jewell) and North Polk (Alleman). The Cubs are 6-12 and will be attempting to complete a two-game sweep of the Rams.

After tonight, all that is left for the Greene County baseball team is the postseason. The Rams play Dallas Center-Grimes in Dallas Center in Dallas Center this Friday the 17th at approximately 7 p.m. in the second game of a Class District 15 opening night twin bill. Atlantic and Carroll face off at 5 p.m. with the Rams and Mustangs to follow.
