A longtime cross-county rivalry gets renewed once more tonight in Adel, as the Class 4A #5 ranked, Dallas Center-Grimes Fillies travel 12 miles to the southwest to face the ADM Tigers in Adel.  ADM is ranked #3 in Class 4A.

Both teams have legitimate opportunities to make the State Tournament in Fort Dodge later this month.  DC-G made an appearance last July in Fort Dodge, and ADM was the State Runner-up in 2018, before disappointment set in as the Tigers bowed out to Oskaloosa in the Regional final in 2019.

Seniors, Lani Gannon and Riley Hall have split the starting duties for the Fillies inside the circle this summer.  Gannon is tossing up a 1.78 ERA, and Hall has a 2.16 ERA for the year.  ADM has their own ace, as Senior, Abbie Hlas is posting just over a 2 ERA.  Freshman, Aliya Yanga of ADM, who is in her second season of Varsity action for the Tigers is posting an impressive ERA, as well.  Yanga has a 1.02 ERA is 27 1/3 innings pitched.

Tonight’s game in Adel is scheduled for a 7:15pm start, with live, play-by-play coverage on KKRF 107.9FM beginning around 7:00pm
