There were positive COVID-19 tests reported throughout the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area Sunday, and the rest of Iowa also once again saw a big increase.
According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, there were 18 new cases in Dallas County, two in Guthrie, and one in Greene. The new occurrences bring the total in Dallas to 1,402 to date, with 31 coronavirus-related deaths, and 1,073 patients recovered. Guthrie County is now at 76 cases, with four deaths, and 57 recovered, and Greene is at 31 cases and 23 recovered. There was no change for Adair County, which sits at 17 cases and 12 recovered. Statewide there were 478 new positive tests, with 35,006 now reported since the outbreak began. There was also one more death, for a total of 749.
The IDPH points out there have been 338,735 negative tests to date, and 26,211 patients in Iowa have fully recovered. Additionally, in Region 1 of the Regional Medical Coordination Centers Hospital Data – which includes all of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area – there are currently 54 hospitalized patients, with 13 in Intensive Care Units, and 12 admitted in the last 24 hours.
