More services are becoming available at the Adel Family Aquatic Center, including open swim which began this week.

Some other things the public should note as the summer goes along include the next round of swim lessons. There are still openings available for the next session, which begins this Monday, for levels 1-4. The session runs through July 24th on Monday-Thursday over three different timeframes. The sections with the most openings are from 7:30-8 p.m. There are also some slots available for the final swim lesson session, which will run from July 27th – August 7th.

The Adel Parks and Recreation Department is also seeking the public’s input on the possibility of an evening Aqua Zumba class, which would take place Wednesday’s from 5:30-6 p.m. There is an online survey for the community to fill out, and if there is enough interest, the course will be added right away. Aquatic center staff also reminds the public that they can register ahead of time to reserve a spot for open swim, since they are limiting the pool to 50% capacity out of concern for the COVID-19 outbreak.
