As the Kids Summer Reading Program rolls along with the Jefferson Library, there are still activities coming up.

Each week participants can watch fairy tale stories via a Zoom Room presentation online, along with being involved in a reader’s theatre story. Children’s Librarian Terry Clark reminds kids and their parents of several other online shows produced by Absolute Science on YouTube.

“Absolute Science has put together 13 virtual shows for the boys and girls, and these will be available through the end of August. They can watch them as many times as they want to. It’s about bubbles, it’s about robots, lasers, magic, it’s all different kinds of things. And this was sponsored by the Greene County Librarians Association and the Greene County Board of Supervisors.”

The “Imagine YOUR Story” Kids Summer Reading Program is for four-year-olds through 5th graders and it ends August 9th. Call the Children’s Department at 515-386-4415 for more information or to sign up.
