A Panora man has been sentenced for a May 21st incident and for violating the terms of his probation.
According to Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird, 25-year-old Austin James Blass pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon, a class D felony, and an amended charge of third degree harassment, a simple misdemeanor. Judge Tom Murphy sentenced Blass to a five year prison sentence for each count. Blass also pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his probation on two Guthrie County cases, and Judge Murphy revoked his probation and deferred judgment. Blass is sentenced to five years in prison for one case and a 30 day incarceration for the other. All of the sentences are to be served concurrently, and Blass must pay over $1,755 in fines, surcharges, court costs, and attorney fees.
Blass was originally charged with first degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor from the May 21st incident in which he was doing a property exchange with his ex girlfriend when she informed a Panora Police Officer that he had a shotgun, and he harassed another person the day before.
