Iowa State Patrol responded to two single-vehicle wrecks in Guthrie County Saturday night.

At about 8 p.m. 25-year-old Keenan Charles Bock of Carroll was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck north on Panorama Road when he was going too fast for the roadway. Bock’s truck dropped off the right edge of the pavement, into a grove of trees, down an embankment and rolled onto its passenger side. Bock didn’t suffer any injuries though a passenger complained of a possible injury. Bock was cited for reckless driving. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, Panora Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services all assisted at the scene.

At about 10:15 p.m. that same evening, 22-year-old Travis Michael Petersen of Manning was on a Harley motorcycle westbound on 190th Street when a deer ran out of the ditch and was struck. The motorcycle then skidded on its side and came to a stop on the right shoulder. A bystander stopped and gave Petersen a ride to the Audubon County Hospital. The motorcycle was considered totaled. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, Guthrie Center Fire department, and Panora Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene.
