The total number of positive tests for COVID-19 continues to grow in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area, with 15 new cases reported in Dallas County, and one more in Adair County.

According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, the number of confirmed cases in Dallas County is now at 1,284 since the pandemic began. There were no new deaths in the County, so that total remains at 29, and the IDPH notes that 1,017 residents affected have recovered. The additional case in Adair County brings their total to 16 since March, with 12 recovered and no deaths. Guthrie County totals remained the same Monday, with 66 positive tests, 58 recovered, and four deaths. Likewise, Greene County had no change, with 29 cases, 21 recovered, and no deaths. Statewide, the numbers took another big leap, with 412 new cases reported for a total of 31,655 to date. There was also one additional coronavirus-related death, for a total of 722.

The IDPH also notes there have been 303,543 negative tests since March, and that 24,981 Iowans have fully recovered from the virus. Additionally, in Region 1 of the Regional Medical Coordination Centers Hospital Data – which includes all of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area – there are currently 51 hospitalized patients, with 12 in Intensive Care Units, and eight admitted in the last 24 hours.
