Rod Wiebers has offically started his activities director position for Adel-Desoto-Minburn school district, as he looks to continue to create the success that ADM has had for many years.
Wiebers spent the last 17 years as a teacher and coach in the Johnston School District. He has served as their School Administration Manager (SAM) since 2010, and has been the assistant activities director and event manager since 2014. He has a bachelor’s degree in business education from Buena Vista University, and a masters in educational administration from the University of Iowa. Wiebers said in an issued statement that he’s thrilled to join the ADM family and is eager to work with the administrators and students. Superintendent Greg Dufoe shared that excitement, adding that Wiebers brings a strong student-centered approach and well-defined plan to the District.
ADM had been without a permanent AD since Reece Satre resigned in August to take over activities at North Polk. Larry Moklestad was the retired AD from Boone and agreed to take the job on an interim basis this school year.
The ADM community wants to say thank you to Larry Moklestad for stepping in this year, and excited to see the future of ADM activities under the direction of Wiebers.
