The Churdan Public Library is continuing its Kids Summer Reading Program.
Children’s Librarian Marilyn Tilley says kids from ages 2-12 are encouraged to participate, while practicing social distancing against COVID-19. Each week, the library will have a Grab N’ Go story time sack with a craft, a snack, a small prize and a library book. You can contact the library at 515-389-3423 to reserve a sack to pick up everyday from 1-5pm. Additionally, there will be weekly story times held via Zoom video conferencing, along with a scavenger hunt, stories on the Lion’s Club walking path and a car picnic.
The Summer Reading Program is free due to the Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children neighborhood/Community Network Mini Grants.
