The City of Stuart’s Lawbaugh Park recently finished some improvements that have been over a year in the making.
The City has installed a new playground structure and zipline for kids to enjoy. The equipment was paid for by a $20,000 grant they received from the Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation and the Guthrie County Community Foundation last year, as well as a $20,000 match from the City. The grant was applied for by Stuart Economic Development Director Kristen Renslow, as she explained to Raccoon Valley Radio that the new plastic equipment will require lower maintenance and has a longer shelf life than the approximate 30-year-old wooden structure that previously existed.
