A musical performance will take place tomorrow in honor of the 4th of July holiday.
The Bell Tower Community Foundation is hosting a special Tower Tunes Live concert tomorrow at the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower in Jefferson. Local musician Rick Morain will perform on the four-octave, 48-bell carillon from 12:15-12:30pm. Most of the musical selections will have a patriotic theme. The concert is free and anyone wishing to hear the bells can sit outside around the downtown square or from their own vehicles.
Organizers encourage visitors to shop and dine local while enjoying the performance, and practicing social distancing. The bell tower is open from 10am-4pm everyday. Visitors are required to wear a mask when visiting the tower and masks will be available if you don’t have one. Youth 18 and younger are free due the sponsorship of the Greene County Community Schools Foundation. Adult admission is $3 each.
