In a Little Hawkeye Conference match-up last night in Dallas Center, Norwalk found itself giving the Mustangs their first loss of the year, and Norwalk also managed to shut down the Fillies in a Softball doubleheader.

Byron Peyton’s Baseball club suffered its first blemish of the year, 8-4.  The first loss gives #2 ranked, DC-G an 11-1 record on the year.  Norwalk improves to 8-5 with the upset win over the Mustangs.

On the Softball diamond, things didn’t fall for the Fillies as DC-G came up short in both games of a doubleheader.  Steve Schlafke’s team now sits at 12-5 on the season following the pair of losses on Thursday.  DC-G dropped the opener 7-4, and the nightcap 5-2.

DC-G Softball will host Boone tonight at 7:30pm in Dallas Center, and Friday night the Mustangs will host Newton.
