Though most of Yale’s annual Fourth of July celebration has been cancelled in response to COVID-19, those in the area can still relish some of the event’s traditions.

The Yale Community Club will still host a fireworks display this Friday, July 3rd from the baseball field. Organizers state it will be the biggest display they’ve had yet. The only other event being offered by the club this year is a “virtual” Fourth of July Freedom Run. Registration was held online for runners to sign up to participate, whether it be walking or running around your neighborhood, on a trail, or treadmill, while following social distancing guidelines. Participants can then post their race day picture online, a link to which is included here.
