After playing at home in Jefferson just once in the first five games, Greene County is home for the second time this week when they host Saydel (Des Moines) tonight in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball and softball. This is the second time the teams have played each other this season with the COVID-19 shortened campaign beginning with the Rams visiting the Eagles on June 15. Greene County won the softball game 6-5 while Saydel won 2-1 in baseball.

The win over the Eagles is the only one for the softball team. They are 1-5 overall and in the conference. The Eagles are 3-5 in league play and 5-8 overall.

The baseball Rams are 0-6 overall and in the HOIAC. Saydel is 5-9 on the season and 3-5 in the conference.

Tonight’s varsity softball game will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins shortly after 7 p.m. with first pitch around 7:30 p.m.
