The 4th of July is on a Saturday this year and so several offices and businesses in Jefferson will observe the holiday this Friday.

The Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson City Hall, Greene County Extension Office, the Jefferson Public Library and the Jefferson Area Chamber will all be closed on Friday. The Greene County Community Center, as well as the library and the Jefferson Post Office will also be closed on Saturday.

Since the library buildings are still closed to the public, staff will not provide home deliveries or curbside pick-ups for either Friday or Saturday. Even though the Chamber office will not be open on Friday, the Thomas Jefferson Gardens and Welcome Center will be open for visitors.
