Friday, June 26th
9:01am: Rich Burkhardt reported a family member had taken his dog, as they believed he was not taking care of the animal. The officer deemed the animal in good shape and advised the family member they must return the animal.
10:02am: Eric Eliserio called and voiced his concerns about tall weeds and grass obstructing vision at Elm and Gallop Road.
2:11pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with an ATV in the 200 Block of South Elm Street. He explained to the driver that City Ordinances do not allow ATV’s to be driven on the streets.
4:39pm: Vicki Tronchetti spoke to an officer reporting a client had lost personal paperwork and they were concerned it may be used to steal her identity. The officer documented the issue in case of future problems.
4:50pm: Dickson Morris advised he had lost the keys to his rental car at the Wild Rose Casino and was requesting an officer to drive him to a larger city to get an Uber Driver. The officer advised he could not do so.
10:08pm: Twiin Shoppe employees reported an older male in a Honda passenger car was sitting in the area at closing time, watching the employees. This made the staff extremely uncomfortable. The officers will be giving Extra Patrol in the area at closing.
10:34pm: Jenny Showman reported a vehicle full of kids shooting fireworks at houses in the 500 Block of South Locust Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
11:29pm: Kiara Anderson reported a group of occupants in a white vehicle had dropped eggs out of the window in the 600 Block of West South Street.
Saturday, June 27th
1:20am: A caller advised of a Suspicious Male at 606 Hwy. 30 East. The officer determined the subject was disabled and staff was helping him pump gas into his vehicle. No action was required by the officer.
3:07am: A caller advised of a Verbal Disturbance occurring at 608 South Locust Street. The officer spoke to the occupants and learned parents had just arrived and removed their child from staying overnight at the residence because she was attempting to sneak out. Parents had already fixed the issue before the officer’s arrival.
5:45am: A caller advised of a fire that had crawled out of the fire pit at 102 East Clark Street. The officer spoke to the resident and had them extinguish the fire.
8:25am: Haley Hitchcock reported someone had dumped BBQ Sauce on her vehicle and the back of her house at 500 North Elm Street. The officer is investigating.
8:57am: An officer removed a bird from the Catholic Church at 503 North Chestnut Street.
9:08am: Sparky’s One Stop reported they had received a call from someone claiming to be an officer with the Jefferson Police Department. The caller advised they were investigating counterfeit monies in a bank deposit. The officer had no knowledge of the investigation, or the officer name given as the caller. It is a possible Scam Call.
1:03pm: Jammie Venteicher spoke to an officer about removing an Unwanted Male from her residence at 304 West Reed Street. The officer learned the male has lived there for over a year and would need to be Civilly Evicted from the property.
5:14pm: An officer checked the residence at 505 East Monroe Street after dispatch received an Abandoned 911 Call. The call was accidental, and no assistance was needed.
9:32pm: A caller reported fireworks being set off in the 500 Block of North Oak Street. The officer did not locate any in the area.
11:33pm: Kelsey Reed reported fireworks being set off in the 500 Block of North Pinet Street. The officer did not locate any in the area.
Sunday, June 28th
2:13am: An officer assisted a deputy with a Domestic Situation at 1213 J Ave.
4:43pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1000 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Landyn Venteicher of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
8:33pm: Lisa Mobley reported fireworks being set off in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer spoke to a subject in the area and explained they are illegal in city limits.
11:07pm: An officer assisted family members with a Possible Suicidal Juvenile in the 900 Block of North Pinet Street. The officer took the juvenile to the ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor.
******** Officers issued (6) Parking Violation Notices during this period for, “Street Sweeping Parking Violations.”
