Perry sophomore Jayna Kenney struck out 8 batters Friday night as Perry defeated Madrid 6-2 in non conference softball at the PAC. The right handers scattered five hits with one walk and didn’t allow a single earned run through seven innings. Perry jumped out to a quick start scoring three times in the first inning. For the second straight night, Cassidy Heck delivered a two out 2-run double to give Perry the early lead. Macy Kilmer finished with 2 RBI’s. Kenney registered two of Perry’s 6 hits. The Jayettes improve to 1=6 while Madrid falls to 0-9. Perry will travel to Boone today to play Humboldt at 11 and Ogden at 1.
