A reminder: the online auction for a non-profit organization ends tonight that helps fund educational opportunities for the Greene County School District teachers and staff.
The Bringing Optimism and Opportunities to Students and Teachers (BOOST) of Greene County organization had to reschedule their in-person fundraiser from late-March to holding it entirely online tonight, due to COVID-19 concerns. The 3rd Annual BOOST Bash includes 95 auction items, with the first wave of final bids to take place starting at 7pm, when the Facebook Live event begins.
BOOST Committee member Chris Deal says they are staying true to tradition and having the first items to award being homemade pies.
“We’ve got five desserts that we’ll still be doing and those will be the first wave to close (for bidding). Immediately upon closing we’ll reach out to the five winners, and coordinate, and we’re going to have five people who will deliver to doorsteps, within the county, that night. So people can still get their dessert right away and enjoy that, that evening.”
The event will be done via Facebook Live from 7-8pm tonight. Click the link below to place a bid on an item. In its first two years, BOOST has raised over $120,000 for the Greene County teachers to use for additional educational opportunities for students.
