Emma Dighton has been a thorn in Perry’s side the past couple of years and Thursday was no exception as the junior drove in four runs in Boone’s 10-3 win over Perry. Dighton delivered a key two out 2-run double in the bottom of the third inning giving Boone an early 5-0 lead. Perry battled back in their half of the fourth with three runs. Kennedy Tunick, Molly Lutmer and Cassidy Heck all knocked in runs as Perry battled back. Tunick ripped an RBI double while Heck added a two out single. Lydia Olejniczak and Jayna Kenney scored the runs along with Tunick. Kenney took the loss inside the circle allowing seven earned runs over five innings. Macy Tunick pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Perry finished with six hits including a pair of hits from Taylor Atwell. Kenney reached base twice as well.
Perry falls to 0-6 and will celebrate senior night tonight with a 7:00 game against Madrid. You can listen to the game on KDLS.
