Those in need of food assistance are advised of a Mobile Food Pantry that will be coming to the City of Stuart next week.

The Around Town Mobile Food Pantry, a Seventh-day Adventist Church Ministry, serves over 500 people in the Des Moines area monthly. In response to the economic effects of COVID-19 on Iowans, they will be reaching outside the area to do a one-time food pack delivery from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday July 2nd at the Stuart American Legion Hall parking lot. Packs of non-perishable food items will be offered to anyone in need. More information can be found by calling 515-635-5480 or emailing aroundtownmfp@gmail.com. Food insecure residents can also visit the Stuart Cottage Pantry located at 117 ½ North Sherman Street, which is open from 1:30-4:45 p.m. Wednesdays.
