Monday night, the lights were back on in Dallas Center as a Little Hawkeye Conference match-up between Grinnell and DC-G commenced.
The Mustangs and Fillies both left the diamond on Monday as victorious squads. DC-G Baseball picked up a 10-6 victory over Grinnell, after trailing early in the game by a 5-1 score. DC-G Softball swept a doubleheader over the Lady Tigers of Grinnell, winning the opener 10-0, and picking up a low scoring, nail-biting second game 2-1.
On Tuesday, DC-G Softball fell for the first time at home in extra innings, as the Fillies took the 3-1 loss to #1 ranked Carlisle in 8 innings.
DC-G will find themselves back on their home diamond tonight in Dallas Center as a Baseball and Softball Doubleheader with the Little Hawkeye Conference’s largest school district, Indianola is scheduled for a 7:30pm first pitch tonight.
DC-G Baseball, 6-0, will face the Indians who are currently 2-2. DC-G Softball, 7-1, and ranked #5 will face an undefeated Indianola squad who is 6-0 on the year, so far.
