The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.

The meeting began with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to 18 County employees for their years of service, which ranged from 5-20 years. Following that, the Board set July 7th at 9:30 a.m. as the time and date for a public hearing on a cost advisory services contract, and approved resolutions for an amended drainage district assessment and operating transfers. At 9:30 a.m. they held a public hearing for a telephone line easement on the Raccoon River Valley Trail for Arvig Enterprises. With no objections, the Supervisors approved the easement as presented.

Next, they gave consensus to begin the process of selling a strip of land the County owns at 1131 Prairie Street in Adel, and to move forward with a new contract with Metro Waste Authority for the County’s recycling program. The meeting concluded with a workshop on updates to the employee handbook, after which the Board approved the proposed modifications.
