adm-7

ADM Tiger Softball dug itself into a hole on Tuesday Night, and couldn’t come back from falling to the Bondurant Bluejays by the score of 5-4. ADM nearly was able to come back from an initial 5-0 deficit, but unfortunately they couldn’t despite putting up three runs in the fifth and one in the seventh.

The Bluejays were able to bring up nine to the plate in the third inning, as six straight batters reached base with three via hits and three walks issued as well helped them score three runs in the frame. In the fifth, they tacked on two more with a hit to the game in left that scored two. ADM countered in the fifth with senior Morgan Meyer getting an RBI on a fielder’s choice, then senior Abbie Hlas followed that up with a two run double to left center field to cut the lead to two. In the seventh, ADM got an RBI single from freshman Brilee Person but couldn’t get another run across to tie the game.

Aliya Yanga suffered her first loss of the season, as she did strike out six but also had five walks on the night as well, and gave up five runs total.

For Bondurant, they move to 5-2 on the season after recorded their first win against the Tigers in the last eleven tries. ADM moves to 2-2 and will look to get back on track against Boone tonight at ADM high school.
