The West Central Valley Class of 2020 is starting to get closure on what was an unforgettable year with an event tonight.
The senior class is having their awards night at 7 p.m. at the high school gymnasium. High School Principal Rusty Shockley says the event is usually held in their commons area, but because of COVID-19 restrictions and that they have the gymnasium set up for the graduation ceremony this Sunday they went with the change of venue, “We’re changing it up a little. Generally the awards are done by each individual different award but to try and keep the amount of contact to a minimum we’re basically gonna go through the kids that are winning awards and then we’ll list all the awards they won so that they come up at once.”
The valedictorian will also be announced during the event. To hear more about this and other upcoming West Central Valley events, listen to today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program with Shockley on air and at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
