Last night’s Greene County High School softball game with North Polk (Alleman) was postponed due to wet grounds. The Rams and Comets will make up the contest as part of a varsity doubleheader in Alleman on July 6. There will be no JV game that night.
The Rams have two games left on the schedule this week. Both are on the road and in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. Wednesday night means the longest road trip of the season when Coach Tom Kennedy’s team plays PCM in Monroe. The Rams are 1-2 on the season and Mustangs entered this week with a 1-3 record.
Coach Kennedy told KGRA he is happy with the pitching. He thinks the defense will shore things up a bit, and that the bats will come around. The Rams are without an extra base hits in any of their first three games.
