After opening the week with games at home versus Grinnell in Little Hawkeye Conference action, the Mustangs Baseball and Fillies Softball teams of Dallas Center-Grimes High School look to continue their hot play on Wednesday with another home affair as they prepare to welcome in Indianola.

Both squads have received absolute dominant pitching which has placed DC-G in positions to always be competitive.  The Mustangs have been lead by Senior ace, Logan Smith who will be spending his collegiate career on the mound at South Dakota State University playing Division I NCAA Baseball.

In Smith’s last start on Friday against Oskaloosa, he allowed just three hits, walking one batter in 6 innings of action and striking out 10 Indians.

The Mustangs received just enough offense to pull through two runs, to down Osky 2-0.   Senior, Colby Wigham knocked through an RBI to pace the DC-G offense.

Tomorrow night’s Baseball and Softball games for DC-G are scheduled for a 7:00pm first pitch in Dallas Center.
