The Panora City Council approved setting the Community Center or Veterans Auditorium as the location for their next regular Council meeting and a town hall meeting on July 13th.

They set the location after Steve Keith presented during the public forum that he and other utility and all-terrain vehicle users would like for the City to make driving them legal on some city streets. This follows the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors recently making UTV and ATV use on county roads legal, and Keith explained that ATV and UTV users would like to go into town to get food or gas. City Administrator Lisa Grossman explained that after the town hall discussion on the topic the City would potentially draft a new ordinance for the Council to approve.

In other business, the Council approved an offer to buy real estate at 119 West Lane Street for $13,000 to then work with Rural Housing 360 to build a new home. After no comments were heard during a public hearing, the Council approved the second fiscal year 2021 budget amendment, and approved setting July 27th as the public hearing date to recodify the City’s Code of Ordinances.
