After easily taking down Newton in a Baseball and Softball doubleheader showdown on Wednesday, the Mustangs and Fillies now get the chance to show off to the hometown crowd as DC-G plays in its home opener of the season tonight hosting Oskaloosa in baseball, and Ballard in softball.

Mustang Baseball is 3-0 after winning a doubleheader at Newton on Wednesday.  DC-G received strong pitching in a 19-3 blowout win, and a 13-0 victory on the Cardinals home diamond.  The bats were able to get going at a consistent pace, as well.  A welcome sign for Head Coach, Byron Peyton and his assistants.

Fillies Softball is also undefeated after a pair of wins at Newton.  DC-G was able to mercy rule the Cardinals in game 1, 15-5, and pick up a dominant win in game 2, 7-1.

DC-G Softball additionally picked up a 5-0 win over #3 ranked Oskaloosa in Dallas Center on Thursday night.  The Fillies are currently ranked #5 in the state.

Tonight’s games in Dallas Center are set for a 7:00pm first pitch.
