It was a big first test on Monday Night for the ADM Tiger Softball team on Monday night with conference foe and state ranked Ballard in town, but the Tigers were able to get the offense rolling early and often as the Tigers won 13-6.
In front of a huge opening night crowd, the Tigers team was able to put up two runs in the first inning, seven runs in the second, and two more in the third to take an 11-0 lead and ultimately would never look back. ADM was able to tally 14 hits on the night, and really set the tone in the second inning when twelve players came up to the plate and every player in the lineup was able to reach base.
Junior Brooke Hickey had a big night with a two run home run down the right field line in her first at bat of the year, and also had an inside the park home run in the 3rd inning after a Ballard error. Senior Abbie Hlas was able to get three hits on the night and also picked up her first win on the mound this year.
ADM will be back on the diamond tonight when they travel to Jefferson to take on the Greene County Rams.
