It will be a season of expectations for the ADM softball team, and today is the day that their journey towards the state tournament will begin with a huge home game against Ballard. ADM was ranked preseason number five in the 4A girls preseason poll, and Ballard ranked 3rd in the same poll, which sets up a top five showdown with teams that have high aspirations for the season. ADM went 28-7 last year while Ballard went 26-10, with both of the teams returning the majority of their lineups.

ADM will be looking to rely on the talent of senior Abbie Hlas all season long, as she will be the most important cog to their attack both in the lineup and on the mound as well. The Winona State signee led the team in ERA and wins last year as well as hits and home runs as well. ADM also will have a lot of young talent on the roster, and will get the opportunity to be playing in high leverage games all season long.
