One of the keys to the 2019 ADM softball season and their sterling 28 win resume was the hot start that they were able to get right out of the gate. Tiger softball won their first nine games of the season for the year, and fourteen of their first sixteen against excellent competition.

Pitching was key to that run, as their were only two games where the Tigers gave up more than three runs, and were able to issue quality starts against quality competition. The offense also was able to churn out a bunch of runs as well, and were able to create a winning combination that was tough to beat.

The hot start ultimately led to some good seeding for the regional state tournament, and gave them a home field advantage, something that they will be hoping to replicate this year.

For ADM, a hot start will be even more important this year with the shortened season, and are hoping that with a great start this year will lead to a big regular season and hopefully a great postseason as well.
