Though COVID-19 may have caused some procedural changes, three summer meal programs are still being held to support the youth across Guthrie County.

The Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center school districts are providing free grab and go meals every Tuesday from 6:30-7 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Adair and from 11:30 a.m.- 12:15 p.m. at Guthrie Center Elementary. The Panorama School District is dropping off free meals to anyone 18 years old and younger at the Bagley Community Center, Linden Post Office/Library, Jamaica City Park, Panora Public Library, and Yale Memorial Park from 11:30-11:45 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays through July. Families can sign up by emailing shawn.holloway@panorama.k12.ia.us including how many children will be participating and which location you’d prefer.

The West Central Valley Recreation Club is providing free meals to anyone 18 years old and younger from 11 a.m.-noon on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Stuart and Dexter elementaries, Menlo City Park, and Redfield Recreation Club.
