The Adair County Fair will look different this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Fair Board decided last week that the fair will host “show and go” style livestock shows. No other decisions have been made regarding the fair, but the Board states that they expect to make a final decision on how the fair will look on June 17th. Extension County Youth Coordinator Emily Ide recently announced that the static exhibits will be done differently this year, as all youth will drop their exhibits off during a scheduled time at the 4-H/FFA building. No face-to-face conference judging will be held, and plans for the communication, Pride of Iowa, and clothing events are still being determined. The fair is scheduled for July 15-19.
