A Greenfield man was arrested last week for an alleged burglary incident.
According to court documents, at about 10:41 p.m. June 1st, 64-year-old Richard Curtis Johnson had allegedly punched open an apartment door, entered the residence which had one occupant, and removed property. No weapons were used and no injuries were caused. He then committed an assault against a Greenfield Police Officer while being questioned about the burglary, and pulled away from the officer while trying to handcuff him. Johnson was arrested and charged with second degree burglary, a class C felony; assault on persons in certain occupations, a serious misdemeanor; and interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. He was released from the Adair County Jail on his own recognizance following his initial court appearance on June 2nd. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
