adm-7

One of the most important keys to the Adel-Desoto-Minburn baseball team will be how well they can compete in their home contests for the 2020 year, and plan to defend their turf better this year compared to last year. Last year ADM finished just 3-11 in games that were played in Adel, which was the second worst mark in the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers were held scoreless in multiple home contests as well, and for some reason they averaged a couple of runs less per game at home than they did on the road.

On the flip side, the Tigers were able to have a winning record on neutral site and away games, as they were able to post a 10-7 record, which was the 3rd best mark in the conference last year.

It’s also important to note that ADM faced some of the toughest teams in the state based on win percentage, with their opponents last year finishing with a .623 winning percentage, and they are expected to face an equally challenging schedule in their shortened season.

For an ADM team that is coming off of a state tournament run, the most important key to their season might be the ability to defend their home turf, because if they can win their more regularly, expect a winning record to follow suit as well.
