The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs and Fillies Baseball and Softball teams have been at practice for nearly a week now, and with extra precautions and regulations the Iowa High School Athletic Association, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and Governor Reynolds have deemed it safe to play ball throughout the summer.
The delayed start in the season will crunch down the amount of games, but will add additional stress to the situation as schools and programs attempt to cram as many games in, as possible, in a shortened regular season.
Official games will begin statewide on Monday, June 15, until then teams may only practice.
