The 2019 softball season for AC/GC saw more than their fair share of peaks and valleys.
The Chargers saw some long stretches without wins, but ended the season on the upswing. After a brutal stretch in late June, AC/GC tied their longest losing streak at five games after dropping both games against Ogden and Van Meter before splitting a double heading against Panorama. This team could have packed up their season a few weeks early, but they decided to buckle down. After their close win against the Panthers, AC/GC started to dominate winning their next four games by a combined score of 40-9 including a 9-0 shutout victory against West Central Valley in the first round of regional play. While Chargers then saw their season come to an end against WCAC Champion Van Meter, they’ll be looking to find that momentum they earned in the last few weeks of the season to take advantage of a shortened season.
The first test for AC/GC is Monday, June 15th against Woodward-Granger on the road.
