As the Stuart Public Library is only open for curbside check-out at this time, they are altering their summer reading program in order to still engage residents while maintaining social distancing.
Stuart Library Director Lisa Sherman says the program will start on June 9th with grab-and-go packets that will be handed out every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. outside the library, “Each packet will contain a newsletter that will contain different activity ideas, fun recipes, ready-to-make craft kits, a weekly reading log, and a weekly writing contest that the winner will get published in the Stuart Herald every week. The summer reading program, however, is for all ages. So there will be more about that for adults and our teens coming along.”
Sherman asks that the weekly reading logs be returned through their outside book drop, and during the last week of July they will have a prize drawing for all participants. For more information on the program and other library services, contact the library at 515-523-2152.
