The Perry City Council convened Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting began with a public hearing on an application for a State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan for the new waste water treatment plant. Hearing no objections, the Council approved a resolution to submit the environmental impact portion of the application, with the debt portion to be considered at a future meeting. Also in old business, they approved the bid letting for the library remodel project and set a public hearing for June 30th at 8 a.m. to award the bid, as well as a change order of $2,725 for the McCreary Center project.
In new business, the Council approved a pay request in the amount of $177,715.32 from Des Moines Asphalt for the asphalt overlay project. Next, they approved the reappointments of Mark Miller and Heather Karolus to the Perry Library Board of Trustees, as well as an Iowa cash rent farm lease agreement with Katherine and Alan Neese. Finally, the Council set a public hearing for June 15th at 6 p.m. for the fiscal year 2020 budget amendment.
