adm-7

Practices for summer sports got underway in the state of Iowa yesterday, and for the ADM softball team expectations will be high for the 2020 summer season. When the team got the news from the IGHSAU, there was obvious excitement for Coach Jody Doty, especially for a certain group for her team.

” I was really ecstatic, I have six amazing seniors that have every right to play and finish out their senior season and we fell a little short last year so I would’ve been completely heartbroken if we wouldn’t have been able to have a redemption year.”

Doty also mentioned that there will be a lot of eyeballs on the state of Iowa for their seasons, and knows the key will be safety, ” The state of Iowa is allowing us to progress and try to do this safely, and hopefully can be the catalyst for everybody else out there to show that this can be done.”

Coming off of a season that finished with an impressive record of 28-7 and most of their team back, ADM will have a lot of expectations on the year but maybe the most important thing for this team will be getting the opportunity to compete and live up to expectations this year. The first game for ADM will be on June 15th at home against Ballard.
