The Raccoon River Conference released some guidelines for the baseball and softball seasons for all of the conference affiliates. Admission will be normal for every school in the conference, with Winterset being the only one who will do a free will donation to get into the game. Each school will have limited bleacher capacity and fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs and stand at a safe distance along the fence.
Concessions will not be offered at any of the ballparks, but coolers will be allowed to be brought in. Masks will not be required but will be recommended and spectators will be encouraged to bring in their own hand sanitizer.
They also ask that you continue to practice social distancing, accept responsibility to follow public health guidelines, and stay home if you show symptoms of the virus.
As fans, it will be a treat to have some summertime baseball and softball here in the state of Iowa, so make sure that if you are attending an ADM contest or anybody else, to follow these guidelines.
If you can’t make it or don’t feel comfortable attending, catch games of the ADM baseball and softball teams all summer long on True Country K1079, the voice of the Tigers.
