Friday, May 29th

7:45am: Jerry Kelley reported an unknown subject was knocking on his door at 803 South Chestnut overnight. He requested extra patrol in the area overnights.

10:33am: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 300 South Grimmell Road.

4:21pm: Officers provided Traffic Control at 220th and Elm Streets after a vehicle lost its front tire at the intersection. The vehicle was eventually removed by tow truck from the intersection.

8:14pm: Jefferson officers assisted the Sheriff’s Office with a possible stabbing at 901 Main Street in Scranton.

9:24pm: Randy Munn requested a Welfare Check on a male at 207 West Russell Street. Munn felt the subject was suicidal. The officer made contact with the male and determined he was fine, and no assistance was needed.

Saturday, May 30th

8:18am: Peter Bartlet reported a Careless Driver on Hwy. 4 heading into Jefferson from the north. The officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver about the complaint.

8:51am: A Texas State Trooper spoke with an officer about a vehicle registration that was issued in Jefferson. The vehicle was now in Texas and the plate did not match the vehicle it was on. The officer provided the Trooper with any information the officer located in our records.

5:17pm: Officers were requested at 102 East Washington Street for a Domestic Situation. The female advised she was pushed by her estranged husband while helping him move property from the residence. The officer is investigating.

7:50pm: Toby Oyres reported subjects yelling profanities at her husband as they drove past 402 North Vine Street. The subjects left before the officer’s arrival.

8:45pm: Bridgette Skalla reported a couple arguing in the 1100 Block of South Elm Street. The officer spoke to the couple, who advised the verbal argument had ended and no assistance was needed.

9:52pm: An officer assisted a subject with Mechanical Issues with her vehicle at 508 North Elm Street.

Sunday, May 31st

3:28am: Bryce Burkhardt reported a possible Intoxicated Driver on South Elm Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

7:59pm: A caller reported three juveniles playing on the playground equipment at the Early Learning Center, located at 204 West Madison Street. The officer advised the youth that the facility was closed, and they left the area.
